[ send
me this paper ]
A 5 page research paper that examines Ludwig Van

which Beethoven wrote it, reflecting personal, as well as
contemporary influences. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Beowulf:
The Connections with Rap
[ send
me this paper ]
A 6 page discussion of the connection of the similarities
of the epic tale of Beowulf with contemporary rap culture.
Contends that, while there are no evolutionary connections
between these two styles, there is a striking similarity
between these two cultures even though they are separated
by both time and geography. While the target of the
violence and the causes and consequences of that violence
is certainly different, the protagonist's braggadocio in
Beowulf is a reflection of the culture of today's rappers.
Bibliography lists 1 source.

Billie
Holiday
[ send
me this paper ]
10 pages in length. Sprung forth into a world of racial
intolerance combined with a significant appreciation for
music, Billie Holiday set the stage for other black
artists to follow. Her gutsy vocals and equally solid
physical presence established her as one of the music
industry's most prominent figures. Her music was able to
reach people who had heretofore not learned to appreciate
the sultry sounds of jazz, which – along with such
greats as Louis Armstrong -- she helped to gain acceptance
into mainstream society. Bibliography lists 7 sources.

Musical Hybrids.
[ send
me this paper ]
(5 pp) A hybrid of anything is the offspring of
"genetically differing parents;" or one of
"mixed origin or composition." For a change Mr.
Webster is not too far off. A musical hybrid, then has a
similar definition, a musical "child" of
different parents. In this discussion we will examine some
of those musical hybrids as well as looking at what
influenced their development. People may not know about
the "art" element of African American music, but
that's true of the society at large. Classical music, in
general, has nothing to do with the listening habits of
the average American. When you combine that indifference
with separatism or racism, no wonder the African American
share of performances or broadcasts is considerably
smaller. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
